“My experience creating jobs and managing my small business has given me the experience and the know-how to be a true advocate for creating and saving jobs for
Colorado families.”
– Amy Attwood
Amy is passionate about getting Colorado families back to work and preserving those jobs. Amy is eager to bring job creation and small business experience to Colorado families while making a positive difference to Colorado's economic future.

As the Chief Financial Officer for Clemons Construction Amy knows firsthand the impact government has on job creation and preservation. Having grown up in the family construction business, working side by side with her father, brother and mother since the age of 14, Amy was taught the values of small business ownership, commitment to employees and their families as well as customers and the community. These are the same values that she now teaches to her own children every day.
As a working mother, Amy knows what it means to be thankful that both she and her husband Gavin have jobs. Confronting reduced incomes, she also knows what it means to stretch a family budget and make ends meet. Amy works daily with finances and understands the budgeting process. Her ability to set priorities and create efficiencies has provided stability to her businesses during these challenging economic times.

Amy has deep roots in Jefferson County and Colorado. She is a native of Lakewood, a graduate of Columbine High School and the University of Northern Colorado and currently serves on the Jefferson County Planning Commission. Amy is married to Gavin, and together they are raising their two sons, Max, 9 and Zak, 7.
Gavin is a former teacher and currently serves as the Executive Director for the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and services to individuals and families dealing with the effects of a brain injury. Gavin is a world-class mountain climber and together they own and operate Summit Xperience, LLC, where they guide expeditions to some of the highest mountains around the world. Together they share a passion to be dream-makers, not dream-breakers. Amy and Gavin play an active role in their children's education and contribute to the community through their avid volunteer work with local nonprofits and churches.
Amy is determined to get Colorado families back to work. In Colorado’s current economic climate Amy has firsthand experience in what it takes to be in business, stay in business and keep her commitments to her employees and customers. This is the experience Amy will bring to the role of State Representative.
